We believe that no kid should be left on the sidelines. All kids should be given the opportunity to experience the positive benefits of organized sport regardless of their financial/parental situation.

Financial Assistance

  • You must be registered in a soccer program first and then apply for funding.
  • When you’ve completed your Funding Application please send Heather a copy of your Application Submission at admin@emsasouth.com so I can activate your registration so you are included in team formation since funding takes 6-8 weeks to arrive.
  • Jumpstart Funding is only available online, but the parent/guardian MUST create an account on the Jumpstart website and start the registration.  Once you have created your account you can add Heather at admin@emsasouth.com as a collaborator to help you fill out the funding application.  Once the needed info is filled, you have to log back and submit it yourself.  Here is the link to complete the Jumpstart Application. https://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/pages/apply-for-individual-child-grants

EMSA South Zone Funding Program

The South Zone has a self-funded financial assistance program that allocates a certain amount each season to players in need. This program is geared to athletes who could normally not play even with the approval and funding through KidSport and Jumpstart.

This program can be applied for through the South Zone once KidSport and Jumpstart applications have been submitted and approved. If approved for the South Zone funding program, the remainder or partial remainder of fees due after KS and JS is approved will be covered.

Proof of funding application must be submitted to the EMSA South Zone office prior to pro-rating any registration fees.

EMSA South Hardship Program

EMSA South operates with the philosophy that every child that resides in the EMSA South zone will have the opportunity to play soccer in our community program. This philosophy has necessitated the creation of a “Hardship” program for those parents that cannot afford the player registration fee.

Persons who wish to apply for the Hardship program must contact the Executive Director of EMSA South (execdir@millwoodssoccer.ca)  and make their request for inclusion in the Hardship program. Applicants must justify their application to the satisfaction of the Executive Director. The Executive Director in consultation with the EMSA South Executive will decide whether the applicant will be accepted into the Hardship Program.

Applicants who successfully enter the Hardship Program are required to donate a specific number of volunteer hours in lieu of their registration fee. The volunteer tasks could include:

– Volunteering at the Equipment warehouse.
– Volunteering to work at a concession at a Soccer Tournament.
– Assisting in the EMSA South office.
– Volunteering as a Field Marshall or organizer at a Soccer Tournament.
– Any other task related to the operation of EMSA South
