Courses are being organized for the upcoming Outdoor Season. Please check back regularly for new information.
To become a referee this Spring/Summer, you will need to register for an two day Entry Level Referee Course. You can do so by going to http://www.albertasoccer.com/referee/becomeareferee . Scroll down the page and select the tab “Entry Level” (not Mini Referee) then Select the link “Search for an Entry Level Course”. This link will take you to the Ref Centre Course Management Site – change the end date to May 15, 2019 and select “Search”. It will show you a list of courses provided by various organizations that are certified by Alberta Soccer. Be sure the course type is “Entry Level” and browse available courses. Prices vary from $131.25 to $170. Once you have decided on a course and the dates that work well for you select “Register” and complete the form and registration process.
Please note that these courses fill up quickly and you will need to take a course by May 15, 2019. Your referee certification will be good from April 1 (or day of course completion) to March 31, 2016. You can renew your referee certification for each year by completing the “Refresher Questionaire” and attending the one day Refresher Course (found through Ref Centre webpage) and paying the renewal registraion fee prior to April 1 of each year.
Please let Ric know if you will be taking a referee course. You will not be reimbursed for the course fee. A referee can make from $35-55 and an assistant referee from $25-35 per game (depending on where in the city & age group).
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to Ric at email@example.com
Ric will also need to know your Age, Gender, team you play for if applicable, evenings available and contact information. Most games are played Sunday to Thursday.
